So I wanted to save the best for last. This is by far my favorite photo from this last weekend in Seattle. It's so simple and nothing to special but the lighting couldn't be anymore perfect, in my opinion.
I can't help but laugh whenever I see the guys face in the background. He looks shocked that I'm taking a picture of a random stranger. • Side note: Only 2 more days until I start my mini vacation and 5 more days until my birthday! 🎉 Next week I'll have a few days free to do whatever I want so I'm planning on getting out and getting my drone up in the air and discover some new places.
One last post for the night. Should I just keep posting throughout the day or limit it to like 2 posts a day? Let me know what you prefer down in the comments!
So I'm sure everyone is probably tired of seeing the blood moon from last night but I just had to post this. Nothing to fancy. Just walked out in my back yard and pointed my camera to the sky 📸🌙 • • #bloodmoon #superbloodwolfmoon #redmoon #nightsky #stars #nature #lunareclipse #photography #photooftheday #picoftheday #justgoshoot #sonyalpha #sonya7ii #bealpha
I'm pretty sure every time I get off the ferry into Seattle I snap a photo of this street. I'm not entirely sure why since it's never really been that exciting but I just feel the urge to capture it each time.
2 out of 3 people in this photo are on their cellphone. I don't know why I'm so focused on this but it just felt like everyone I took of photo of in Seattle was glued to their phone. I can't really judge though because that's usually me most of the time 🤷♂️😂. • Edit: Apparently I'm blind or making things appear in photos that aren't there...only 1 person is actually on their phone 🤦♂️😂.
How many here could say they could live without their cell phone? Even for a day? I'll be honest, I dont think I could. I can't even leave the house without feeling it in my pocket.
waiting for the blood moon like.
If you look closely I actually missed focus on this shot. Someone bumped into me and I leaned forward to balance right as I took the photo. At the time I didnt check to see if it was in focus or anything since I was kind of just running and gunning at this moment but I still like the message in it. • Part of me always feels some sympathy for the homeless in Seattle. Most people just walk past them and think very little of them and what could have possibly lead them to live on the street. Granted most of them take full advantage, even abuse the all the free things we provide them by simply being in Seattle, but do feel like there are a few out there that truly went through some hard times and just never recovered.
So yesterday I was really trying to focus more on the people in Seattle rather than architecture. But this hotel sign and building behind it stood out to me for some reason.
New wave of content starts now. Hope you enjoy. • • Social media can be blinding sometimes. Don't let it consume you like it has me before.
One last landscape for now. I have some cool ideas I want to try for some new content. It might take me a bit to get the shots I want because it's stuff I've never done before. Hopefully they turn out as cool as they are in my head.
Lighting at the lake was super harsh. The reflection on the lake made it difficult to get any solid photos but I tried my best. I was able to get a small sun flare as it started to dip below the mountains, which honestly is the only reason I somewhat enjoy this photo.
Some more snowy peaks surrounding Lake Serene.
Originally in was going to go back and edit out the power lines but I decided to leave them in to help me weigh in on a topic that is spreading like wildfire through IG right now. I'm sure by now you've heard or seen the photo taken by a very selfish individual. National parks are closed right now due to the government shut down and their closed for a reason. The people who would normally take care of them and protect them technically don't need to be there right now, but they are I most places. So huge shout out to the rangers who are working off the clock and did what was right. We already left out mark on this world and the beautiful places that make us get out and explore. Don't ruin it for everyone by doing stupid things. And especially dont post it on social media about how dumb you are for breaking the law thinking people were going to support your mistake. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. They should have trespassed you so you could no longer step foot in the CRG in my opinion. Rant complete.
As we started our hike we could see a pretty epic sunrise poking through the trees. Unfortunately we missed it but we still got some early morning glow on the peaks on our way up to to the falls.
Oh look, a waterfall! We almost didn't make the extra trip up to Bridal Viel Falls but the little sign at the fork convinced me other wise. It's only an extra half mile, but it's a pretty steep one at that, so worth it though!
